Taitimu is a locality in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 1 m above sea level. It lies approximately 24 km south-southwest of Auckland, the regional capital. Taitimu is located at 37.0500°S, 174.6667°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Taitimu lies at the edge of the Waiuku Channel, a place where the land breathes in the salty tang of the sea. It lies 14.9 km south-west of Mangere (from Mangere: bearing 232°T), and is situated 12.5 km south of Titirangi.
