Larnach Castle, is an imposing mansion on the ridge of Otago Peninsula within the limits of the city of Dunedin, New Zealand. It is one of only two castles in New Zealand, the other of which (Cargill's Castle, also in Dunedin) is now a ruin.

Milford Sound (Piopiotahi) is located on the south west corner of the South Island of New Zealand. Although called Milford Sound it is more accurately classified as a fjord. Milford Sound is situated within the Fiordland National Park which is in turn part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site.

Wellington is known for its picturesque natural harbour and green hillsides adorned with tiered suburbs of colonial villas. Wellington stands alongside Melbourne as a cultural centre of Australasia, with a thriving arts scene, cafe culture and buzzing nightlife that easily rivals cities of ten times its size.

The Routeburn Track is found in Fiordland, New Zealand. This world renown tramping track starts on the Queenstown side of the Southern Alps, at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu, and finishes on the west coast side, several kilometres from the Homer Tunnel.

The Anglican cathedral of Christ Church in the city of Christchurch, New Zealand was built in the second half of the 19th century (and hence gave Christchurch its name.) It is located in the centre of the city, surrounded by the plaza of Cathedral Square. It is the cathedral seat of the Bishop of Christchurch.

Maori Marae in Gisborne New Zealand

Te Poho-o-Rawiri (The Chest of David) Marae - Gisborne, New Zealand.

A Maori word now common in New Zealand English, marae refers an area of land where the Wharenui or meeting house (literally "big house") sits. Like nearly all Maori words, it is unchanged in the plural.
