About Ridge
Ridge whispers its name on the Wiltshire breeze, a place where the earth itself seems to hold its breath. It lies 12.7 km north-east of Shaftesbury (from Shaftesbury: bearing 45°T, OS grid ST 954 320), and is situated west-south-west of Chilmark village. Here, the sky often hangs with a profound stillness, a vast canvas against which the occasional flight of a buzzard is etched in slow, deliberate circles.
