Wallsend is a locality in the West Coast Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 36 m above sea level. It lies approximately 8 km east-southeast of Greymouth, the regional capital. Wallsend is located at 42.4667°S, 171.3000°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Wallsend rests in a shallow basin, cradled by the gentle, rounded slopes of the Kaiata Range to its west. It lies 152.2 km north-west of Rolleston (from Rolleston: bearing 324°T), and is situated 8.2 km east of Greymouth. The land here unfurls in broad, fertile plains, crisscrossed by the faint silver threads of unseen waterways that feed into the Arnold River, some seven kilometres distant.
