Jacksons is a locality in the West Coast Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 289 m above sea level. It lies approximately 41 km south-east of Greymouth, the regional capital. Jacksons is located at 42.7500°S, 171.5167°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Jacksons lies inland, a quiet settlement cradled by the gentle rise of the Bald Range to its west. It lies 116.3 km north-west of Rolleston (from Rolleston: bearing 323°T), and is situated 22.6 km north of Arthur’s Pass. The land here is a tapestry of rolling hills, where patches of native bush cling to the slopes, giving way to open farmland that stretches towards the Taramakau River, a ribbon of grey water some three kilometres distant.
