Berlins is a locality in the West Coast Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 127 m above sea level. It lies approximately 85 km north-east of Greymouth, the regional capital. Berlins is located at 41.8667°S, 171.8333°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Berlins rests in a broad basin, cradled by the gentle, yet persistent, slopes of the Mount William Range to its north and east. It lies 131.5 km west-south-west of Stoke (from Stoke: bearing 242°T), and is situated 22.9 km south-east of Westport. The land here is a tapestry of rolling farmland, interspersed with pockets of native bush that cling to the steeper inclines, their greens deepening to near black in the shadows. The Blackwater River, a ribbon of cool, clear water, meanders some three kilometres to the west, its presence a constant murmur on the quiet air.
