Arahura is a locality in the West Coast Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 7 m above sea level. It lies approximately 26 km south-southwest of Greymouth, the regional capital. Arahura is located at 42.6667°S, 171.0333°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Arahura rests in a landscape shaped by the persistent flow of the Arahura River, its waters carrying the West Coast's characteristic sediment towards the distant sea. It lies 148.1 km north-north-west of Ashburton (from Ashburton: bearing 337°T), and is situated 7.8 km north-east of Hokitika. The land here is a tapestry of native bush, a dense, verdant cloak that spills down from the lower slopes of the Humphreys Gully Range, its presence a constant, hushed reminder of the wildness that lies beyond.
