Mararewa is a locality in the Tasman Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 168 m above sea level. It lies approximately 31 km west-southwest of Richmond, the regional capital. Mararewa is located at 41.4167°S, 172.8333°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Mararewa rests in a broad valley, cradled by the gentle slopes that rise towards the distant Pinchback Range. It lies 35.2 km west-south-west of Stoke (from Stoke: bearing 251°T), and is situated 18.2 km west of Wakefield. The land here is a patchwork of fertile plains, where the Motupiko River meanders like a silver thread, its waters carrying the murmur of the wider Tasman landscape.
