Korere is a locality in the Tasman Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 265 m above sea level. It lies approximately 39 km south-west of Richmond, the regional capital. Korere is located at 41.5333°S, 172.8000°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Korere rests in a wide, sun-drenched valley, cradled by the gentle slopes of the Pinchback Range to the east. It lies 43.4 km south-west of Stoke (from Stoke: bearing 236°T), and is situated 25.6 km south-west of Wakefield. The land here is a patchwork of emerald pastures, interspersed with darker swathes of native bush that cling to the lower hills. The Motupiko River, a ribbon of clear, cool water, carves its way through the valley floor, its banks often fringed with a dense growth of willow and gorse. The air carries the faint, earthy scent of damp soil and sun-baked grass, particularly on warmer afternoons when the light seems to soften and spread like a wash of pale gold across the landscape.
