Te Tawa lies amidst the undulating farmland of Taranaki, where the rich, dark earth presses upward into gentle swells that roll towards the horizon. It lies 17.3 km south-east of New Plymouth (from New Plymouth: bearing 138°T), and is situated 4.2 km south-east of Inglewood.
