Pehu is a locality in the Taranaki Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 149 m above sea level. It lies approximately 42 km east of New Plymouth, the regional capital. Pehu is located at 39.0500°S, 174.5667°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Pehu rests in a broad sweep of fertile land, a tapestry of emerald pastures and darker swathes of native bush. It lies 41.8 km east of New Plymouth (from New Plymouth: bearing 88°T), and is situated 28.9 km east of Waitara. The ground here rolls with a gentle, persistent incline, rising towards the distant, hazy outline of the Matemateaonga Range to the south.
