Whangape is a locality in the Northland Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 51 m above sea level. It lies approximately 109 km west-northwest of Whangarei, the regional capital. Whangape is located at 35.3370°S, 173.2223°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Whangape rests in a landscape of soft, rolling hills that often wear a cloak of mist in the early morning. It lies 108.9 km west-north-west of Whangarei (from Whangarei: bearing 293°T), and is situated 26.5 km west-north-west of Rawene. The land here is a tapestry of emerald pastures, punctuated by the darker, richer greens of native bush.
