Horahora is a locality in the Northland Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 53 m above sea level. It lies approximately 3 km west-southwest of Whangarei, the regional capital. Horahora is located at 35.7340°S, 174.2909°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Horahora rests in a basin of rolling country, where paddocks of verdant green unfurl towards the distant, hazy silhouette of the Tangihua Range. It lies 3.0 km west of Whangarei (from Whangarei: bearing 265°T), and is situated 5.7 km south-south-west of Tikipunga. The air here carries the scent of damp earth and sun-warmed grass, a constant reminder of the fertile soil that defines this inland landscape.
