Avenues is a locality in the Northland Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 24 m above sea level. It lies approximately 1 km west of Whangarei, the regional capital. Avenues is located at 35.7249°S, 174.3110°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Avenues rests within a landscape of gentle, rolling hills, their green contours softened by a persistent, humid air that carries the distant tang of the sea.
