Para is a locality in the Marlborough Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 12 m above sea level. It lies approximately 17 km north of Blenheim, the regional capital. Para is located at 41.3667°S, 173.9500°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Para lies in a broad valley, a landscape sculpted by the Tuamarina River as it meanders southwards towards the coast. It lies 16.6 km north of Blenheim (from Blenheim: bearing 359°T), and is situated 9.7 km south-south-west of Picton. Rolling hills, cloaked in a patchwork of emerald farmland and the darker hues of native bush, rise on either side, their rounded forms softened by the persistent coastal air.
