Onapua is a locality in the Marlborough Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 67 m above sea level. It lies approximately 34 km north-east of Blenheim, the regional capital. Onapua is located at 41.2667°S, 174.1833°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Onapua clings to the edge of the land where the land surrenders to the sea. It lies 33.7 km north-east of Blenheim (from Blenheim: bearing 35°T), and is situated 14.9 km east of Picton.
