Whangaehu is a locality in the Manawatu-Whanganui Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 15 m above sea level. It lies approximately 54 km north-west of Palmerston North, the regional capital. Whangaehu is located at 40.0075°S, 175.1688°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Whangaehu lies in a broad, gently sloping plain, a land of cultivated fields and scattered stands of native bush that catch the afternoon sun. It lies 13.1 km south-east of Whanganui (from Whanganui: bearing 129°T), and is situated 19.1 km west-north-west of Marton.
