Tane is a locality in the Manawatu-Whanganui Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 138 m above sea level. It lies approximately 32 km south-east of Palmerston North, the regional capital. Tane is located at 40.5758°S, 175.8478°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).
