Papamoa is a locality in the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand. It sits at an elevation of around 10 m above sea level. It lies approximately 65 km west-northwest of Whakatane, the regional capital. Papamoa is located at 37.7333°S, 176.3000°E. It observes New Zealand Time (NZST/NZDT).

Papamoa sprawls across gentle, sandy plains, a sun-drenched locale where the air often carries a faint, salty tang from the distant ocean. It lies 12.9 km east-south-east of Tauranga (from Tauranga: bearing 114°T), and is situated 5.7 km north-north-west of Te Puke.
